Renanthera Storei X Phalaenopsis Snow Bird
This is another orchid plant from the outstanding Renanthera Storei hybrid. A well grown plant can produce about 50 flowers on a 5 branched spike of 4 cm peach colour flowers. This particular clone has been awarded Award of Merits at one of the show.

What medium do you use for your Renantheras ?
Is it easy to get new plants in Malaysia? Here in India I'm starved for sources and I'm not comfortable with buying via the internet so I have to wait till I make trips to Kerala ( a state in South India) where there are a lot of growers and nurseries.
Renanthera is a very interesting orchids. In California we grow a Renanthera type called Ren. Scarley Yuka which is one of our more expensive plants - ie., US$99.95 for a mature plant. However, we also sell cut Renanthera flowers which are called Ren. James Storei which are very long and beautiful yet we retail ten stem bunches for $59.95. They're not hard to grow but I imagine our vendor in Thailand for the cut flower must grow a lot of these to be able to wholesale them to us so inexpensively.
